Sonesta House

The six-storey concrete Sonesta House Condominiums was completed in 1980 housing 32 two-bedroom one-bathroom suites and a mix of indoor and outdoor assigned parking.  For 25 years maintenance was let slide, but in-house efforts have succeeded in recent years to improve the elevator, hallways, and lobby.

Increasingly owned by resident owners rather than landlords, most suites have received various upgrades including in-suite laundries, although dryers might not be vented to the exterior.  There's a basement card-op laundry with three washers and three dryers.  The basement also houses a secure room with an assigned storage locker for every suite.  The building looks good with its brick and stucco exterior plus the evergreen trees out front.

Parking at Sonesta House is all assigned common property in a mix of indoor, outdoor covered, and outdoor uncovered stalls with the assignments considered permanent.  The outdoor parking has been fenced with a power gate.  Exterior windows and doors are each suite owner's responsibility.  The building operates as restricted to those over the age of 18.  I have the Condo Plan on file, and it allocates unit factors to suites in proportion to their floor areas.  At last word each suite is allowed to house one well-behaved dog of not more than 17" to the top of its head, or not more than two cats if there is no dog.
