Grandville Place

Completed in 1979 by Durning Developments and Investments, this eight-storey concrete tower was a condominium project from the outset. There is indoor assigned parking for all 28 suites, storage lockers, a large lobby that was updated in 2004, a sauna, and off the lobby there was a party room that was converted to a resident manager's suite. All 28 suites have two bedrooms and one bathroom in either around 965 or 985 square feet, all in corner locations and each with a large wrap-around balcony. Suites on the seventh and eighth floors each have a wood-burning fireplace.

In recent years many suites have been thoroughly modernized. Some owners have put French doors between the second bedroom and the living room to creating dual-use office/spare bedroom space. The corner setting for every suite means they have lots of light and fresh air. At last word Grandville Place was "self-managed" by its Board, assisted by the resident caretaker.

Exterior doors and windows at Grandville Place are common property. No dogs are permitted to live here. I have on file the original floor plans and the Condominium Plan.
