Dunhill Estates

Dunhill Estates was built in 1981 as a condominium, yet investors must have bought many of the suites, as it's had a rental pool ever since. Today the rental aspect is dwindling, with more owner-occupied suites in this well-run nine-storey building.

The ground floor of Dunhill Estates has no suites, but houses a spacious and updated lobby, the often-staffed on-site office for the rental suites (a great security feature), and a large party room, gym and sauna, showers, and a laundry room. All assigned common-property parking for the 48 suites is in the two-level in-ground parkade.

Floor plans here are of two styles; either one bedroom and den at 721 square feet or two-bedroom suites at 840 square feet. There are no space-wasting entry hallways, so I find that suites present as being roomy for their floor areas. Many suites have had in-suite laundry added, although dryers may not be vented to outdoors. The building's brick cladding was upgraded in 2000.

Early in 2008 the building was re-roofed, and all exterior windows and patio doors were replaced, which should keep out the noise and winter cold. The windows and doors are common property at Dunhill Estates. I have the Condo Plan on file.
